This lovely example of the Mercedes-Benz 190 comes with a fabulous ownership history, the first owner having kept it from 1989 until his death in 2015 when it passed to his son. Its first owner was a Mr James Aldridge of London who was an award winning published author who was a modest gentleman but always promised himself a Mercedes-Benz. On file we have a letter from James' son Tom who explains further about his father and how the car purchase came about.
The car comes with its original maintenance booklet, dealer directory and owners manual all bound in its supplied plastic cover. Its supplying dealer was Greenoaks Motor Company Limited of Surrey who have carried out the servicing. Greenoaks later became Mercedes-Benz of Chelsea who after a telephone call have confirmed they have carried out the MOT tests on the car since 1995 as well as servicing throughout its life - the last service being carried out on 26/10/16 at 53193 miles.
Finished in white with a black interior and fitted with a manually operated sunroof since new. The interior condition of the car is exceptional, with little sign of any wear - even the drivers seat is pretty much as new. As standard these cars came with a full first aid kit stowed behind the rear seats, this remains complete and unused!
The car drives without fault and is a true reminder of how Mercedes-Benz used to build their cars - solid and without any compromise on quality.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a low mileage honest example of the 190 that will undoubtedly out live any of us!
